PFPRO - Professional Portfolio Software

PFPRO provides portfolio and client management for brokers, investment
managers and other financial professionals.  Portfolio management features
include transaction accounting, portfolio valuation, ROI computation, tax
lot assignment, tax estimation and portfolio reporting.  Virtually all
portfolio transactions and security types are supported, as are independent
sub-accounts (e.g. "cash" & "margin").  PFPRO also computes available margin,
portfolio management fees as well as both credit and debit interest on
portfolio free balances.  Portfolio pricing may be done manually or automa-
tically from the Dow Jones News/Retrieval Service, Compuserve or GEnie.

PFPRO's Client module provides immediate access to any account client in a
fashion similar to many mainframe based systems.  Account records provide
account identification information and additionally provides information
vital to serving the client and generating business. From the account record
a clients' portfolio may be accessed to enter transactions, view portfolio
positions or print reports.  Alternatively, PFPRO's Trade module may be
accessed to record orders and execution of trades.  At day's end order and
trade confirmations may then be printed for mailing and client portfolios
updated to reflect the day's trades.

PFPRO productivity features include generation of screened phone lists,
allocation of block trades, batch generation of client statements, automatic
tax lot assignment and security distribution updates, as well as support of
multiple printers.  A "Smart Terminal" communications mode also provides
convenient access to on-line data bases for reviewing and downloading of
financial data and news.

CAPTOOL integrates Techserve's portfolio management, stock/bond evaluation
and data acquisition technology into a single powerful package for
computerized investors.  In its portfolio mode, CAPTOOL incorporates an
enhanced version of the popular PFROI portfolio management system.  This
system enables users to track portfolio and security return on investment
while managing multiple portfolios.  Virtually all security types and
transactions are supported, including stocks, bonds, options, C.D.'s, mutual
funds, as well as depreciable assets such as rental properties and
partnership interests.  Estimated taxes are computed using user configurable
tax rates to support after-tax ROI computation and tax planning.

CAPTOOL portfolio valuations may be performed daily using either manual or
automatic pricing (Dow Jones, Compuserve, Genie, others).  Valuation records
include cost bases, unrealized gains and diversification information.  Up to
64 valuations may be stored for later recall for review and/or price
updating.  CAPTOOL return on investment is computed both before and after
taxes using the internal rate of return method.  ROI may be computed for
individual securities, entire portfolios, or even groups of portfolios.  ROI
results include portfolio beta versus any of three user selected stock
indices.  CAPTOOL generates over ten portfolio reports which may be directed
to either printer or text file.  Reports include a configurable "client
statement" as well as valuation graphics and income reports useful for
year-end tax preparation.

CAPTOOL account records facilitate easy handling of multiple portfolios
including batch generation of valuations and reports. "Auto-dial" plus
"screenable" label generation and mail merge from these records facilitate
use for prospecting and client support by the investment professional.
CAPTOOL has no software limit on number of securities or portfolios handled.

In its investment mode, CAPTOOL incorporates the BONDPRO and STOCKPRO
security evaluation systems.  BONDPRO computes bond yield to call and yield
to maturity, taking into account tax rates, commissions, accrued interest,
as well as call premiums, coupon rates, and payment dates.  A side-by-side,
two-bond format facilitates comparison of bond swap candidates.  STOCKPRO
generates a bracketed "par" stock valuation using risk adjusted discounted
cash flow similar to the capital asset pricing model.  STOCKPRO's input
consists of historical corporate financial data, beta, risk factors, plus a
"risk-free" discount rate.  Future corporate financial results may be
automatically forecast from the data or manually forecast prior to computing
"par" valuation.  Both BONDPRO and STOCKPRO handle multiple securities,
limited only by system storage capacity.  BONDPRO and STOCKPRO output may be
sent to printer or directed to a text file for incorporation in memos to
clients.

108 page printed user manual which provide examples to help in getting
